As always, this was a great update to the BIZJET world and the opportunities ahead for this part of the industry.  Keep up the good work LOOP, you continue to fill an often unrecognised niche market in a totally professional manner.

TBM 850 by Socata? To my knowledge the owner is Daher-Socata... they bought it from Socata.

Hi Bernd... yes, you are right! The umbrella company is formally 'Daher-Socata', and Daher are majority shareholders alongside EADS. As you'll know, as an aircraft manufacturer Socata predates them all (they will be celebrating the Socata centenary next year in major style!), and after our flight test of the TBM850 and speaking to owners and company people, everyone seemed most comfortable just calling the TBM a 'Socata', so that's pretty much how we refer to them.

I guess it's a bit like VW owning Audi, but no-one calls the car the VW-Audi A6. Never let it be said LOOP gets too caught up in corporate details when there's a great aircraft to get excited about!
